User Accounts
Registration
To access FoundersBoxx, you must create a user account. During registration, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. This information helps us serve you better and ensures the security and functionality of your account.
By registering, you also agree to keep your information up-to-date. Inaccurate or outdated information can lead to issues with your account and may affect your ability to use certain features of FoundersBoxx.
Account Security
Maintaining the security of your account is your responsibility. You agree to keep your password confidential and not share it with anyone. If you suspect any unauthorized use of your account, you must notify us immediately.
We recommend using a strong and unique password for your FoundersBoxx account. Regularly updating your password and using two-factor authentication, if available, can further enhance the security of your account.
Account Usage
As the account holder, you are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. This includes any actions taken by others who may have access to your account. Ensure that you monitor and manage your account usage appropriately.
If we detect any suspicious or unauthorized activities, we may take actions to protect your account, including temporarily suspending access or requiring additional verification steps. Our goal is to safeguard your account and personal information.
Your Data
You Own Your Data
All data you enter into FoundersBoxx belongs to you. We don’t claim any ownership over your company information, financial data, or employee records. You can export your data at any time and delete your account whenever you want.
Data Responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter. This includes ensuring you have proper authorization to store information about your employees and company. If you’re subject to GDPR or other data protection laws, you’re the data controller—we’re just the processor following your instructions.
Data Backup
While we maintain regular backups for disaster recovery, you should maintain your own backups of critical data. We’re not liable for data loss, though we do our best to prevent it.

- Third-party service terms or privacy policies
If a third-party integration breaks or changes, we’ll do our best to fix it, but we can’t guarantee uninterrupted service.
AI Features
What AI Does
FoundersBoxx includes AI features to help you work faster—drafting investor updates, analyzing financial trends, answering questions about your data. These are optional tools, not required features.
Your Responsibility
When you use AI features:
- Review all AI-generated content before using it
- Don’t rely solely on AI for important decisions
- Verify financial calculations and advice with your accountant
- Remember that AI can make mistakes
AI Limitations
We don’t guarantee:
- Accuracy of AI-generated content
- That AI will always be available
- That AI recommendations are suitable for your specific situation
AI features are tools to assist you, not replacements for professional judgment, legal advice, or financial expertise.
Your Own API Keys
If you connect your own OpenAI or Anthropic API keys:
- You’re responsible for your API usage and costs
- Your data goes directly to those providers under their terms
- We store your API keys securely but you maintain the relationship with those providers

Limitation of Liability
General Limitations
FoundersBoxx is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We are not liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. This includes damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangibles.
What This Means in Plain English
We work hard to keep FoundersBoxx running smoothly, but:
- Sometimes things break
- Integrations can fail
- Data can be lost (though we try to prevent it)
- AI can give bad advice
You use FoundersBoxx at your own risk. We’re not your accountant, lawyer, or financial advisor. Don’t make critical business decisions based solely on FoundersBoxx data or AI output without consulting professionals.
Third-Party Services
FoundersBoxx may include links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We do not endorse or assume any responsibility for any such third-party sites, information, materials, products, or services. Accessing and using these third-party services is at your own risk.
We are not liable for any loss or damage incurred as a result of any dealings with third-party websites or services, including the sharing of your information with such third parties. It is your responsibility to review the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services you use.
Maximum Liability
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the use of or inability to use the service exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing FoundersBoxx during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the date of the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the form or source of the claim or loss, whether such liability arises out of any claim based upon contract, warranty, tort, or otherwise.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Intellectual Property
Our IP
FoundersBoxx, including all software, designs, trademarks, and content, is owned by us. You get a license to use it as a customer—you don’t own it.
